    Responsibilities

    • Compiles, consolidates and analyzes actuarial information for the production of statements, schedules, filings and reports of a more complex nature.
    • May act as a project lead on actuarial studies and pricing strategies.
    • Directs the development of policy values. Develops and maintains profit studies, reserve studies, PC-based programs, and rate files and procedures.
    • Prepares actuarial portion of financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
    • Provides actuarial analyses, responses and communications to product areas.
    • Maintains awareness / currency of emerging issues affecting product lines.
    • Provides technical advice to lower level positions and other functional areas.
    • May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates and reviews assignments).
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

    Field of Study: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline

    Experience: 4 or more years of related experience. Has attained an Associateship and typically is completing additional coursework toward Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
