    Requirements and Systems Analysis:

    • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements:
      • Analyzes, identifies and writes detailed description of user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
      • Prepares analysis for production support of systems and applications and associated documentation.
      • Creates and tests ad hoc reports.
      • Leads project teams.
      • Typically involved with the testing effort.
    • Assists with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient.
    • Has a comprehensive understanding of business user requirements for data, reports and analyses, training, data quality and performance.
    • Mastered use of standard reporting tools and databases:
      • Strong knowledge of business information data sources and business data rules.


    Process Improvement

    • Capture and respond to customer needs through Voice of the Customer (VOC), capability mapping or through other established feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction.
    • Document definitions and attributes of current processes using visual diagrams, process models, process maps or other tools as appropriate
    • Collaborate with the business and with IT to design new or improved processes based on problem analysis, managing the impact to people, process and technology.
    • Conduct gap analysis between current state and future state processes, recommending and managing an implementation strategy.
    • Gather and record process improvement metrics throughout the process improvement or project lifecycle reporting overall impact to the organization (cost, capacity, process time)


    Relationship Management and Communication

    • Exhibits expert business knowledge and leverages strong customer relationships.
    • Communicate in business and IT terms, effectively translating between business and IT resources
    • Serves as functional liaison with the business and IT to integrate business systems and processes


    • Leads (mentors, prioritizes, delegates and reviews work) the work of others.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    Field of Study: Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.
    Experience: 5 or more years or related experience that includes working as a business systems analyst on applications initiatives is required. Experience utilizing process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or BPM preferred.
