    Responsibilities

    • Conducts and may design company learning and educational programs relating to management and promotional development, on-the-job training and skills readiness. May also serve as an instructor for technical training curriculum.
    • Ensures records of training activities and employee progress are maintained.
    • Ensures the effective delivery of instructional courses and presentations.
    • Involved in curriculum / program design and enhancements.
      • Participates in developing schedules and programs.
      • Coordinates training activities with company management to ensure a smooth, efficient process.
      • Researches new methods of presentation and delivery.
      • Participates in identifying courses that aid development of specific competencies.
    • Researches and recommends services provided by external consultants or organizations. May participate in negotiations and / or administering contract / service agreements.
    • Works with business managers to assess individual training needs for business / functional units and their employees.
    • Participates in developing specifications for learning and development equipment and systems, including online learning tools and learning management systems (LMS).
    • May provide guidance and assistance to lower level positions.
    • Maintains knowledge of the organization, adult learning principles, current trends in employee education, informal learning methods and opportunities to leverage social media.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
    Field of Study: Human Resources, Human Resource Development, Business, Education, Instructional Design or related discipline.
    Experience: 3 to 7 years of related experience. Continuing progress toward and/or the completion of a professional designation preferred, such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or an Insurance designation.
