  • Evaluates legal liability and aggressively pursues, negotiates, and resolves subrogation collection and lien recoveries.
  • Gathers and analyzes information from claims system, insureds, witnesses, claimants, investigators and law enforcement to pursue recoveries.
  • Communicates with insurance carriers on liability and damages.
  • Maintains and controls assigned subrogation files and diaries.
  • May process recovery and expense payments.
  • Successfully completes all coursework/education as assigned:

Builds understanding of the different roles, such as Underwriting, Product, Physical Damage Claims team and Worker’s Compensation Claims team etc.

Develops knowledge and terminology specific to commercial insurance and subrogation recoveries.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Spend 5 weeks in intense classroom and on-the-job training

  • Shadow corporate meetings and gain a broad understanding of our place in the market
  • Have access to senior management throughout the program


Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: Typically part of a formal training program. No prior experience required.

Scope of Job: Performs work within narrowly defined limits and authority on assignments of low complexity. Possesses basic functional knowledge and skills reflective of study and/or on the job development. Performs work under close supervision.


Anticipated graduation date ranging from Fall/Winter 2019 to Spring 2020


Physical Requirements

  • Requires prolonged sitting.
  • Requires continuous use of computer.
  • May lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lbs.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance
