  • This role will have a large focus in campus recruitment and university relations. 
  • Participates in sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, checking references, making offers, coordinating relocation, and coordinating orientation for internal/external applicants and new employees in order to fill current or expected job vacancies. Participates in ensuring compliance to company policies, practices, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in providing information to applicants about the organization, including culture, job duties/responsibilities, total rewards, work schedule, and opportunities.
  • Assists in maintaining the internal job-posting program.
  • Assists in placing recruitment advertisements.
  • Responsible for job fairs, campus recruitment, and interactions with external placement firms.
  • Assists in candidate sourcing, which may include internet mining, networking, and cold calls.
  • Assists in maintaining recruiting record keeping systems and files in order to facilitate the recruitment process and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Assists in developing job appropriate behavioral and competency based interview questions to assist in the selection process.
  • Learns to guide hiring managers in selection based on “fit”, backgrounds of previous successful hires, and existing talent complements.
  • Provides assistance to employee programs (Community Outreach, Service Awards, Interns, etc.).
  • Responds to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures. Triages more complex questions/issues to the appropriate staff.
  • May administer, organize, and conduct company training and educational programs. Participates in monitoring and reporting on training.
  • May perform duties involving employee communications.
  • Provides administrative and project support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruitment and staffing, personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation administration, payroll, training, etc. Coordinates employee activities/programs.
  • Compiles statistics for management’s use and/or participates in preparing reports for internal or external use.
  • Builds working knowledge of employment law, various human resources functions, and current trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travel as needed (up to 25%) to other business units, career fairs and industry events.


Education:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Field of Study: Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

Experience: 0 to 4 years of related experience; may be entry level for a candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree. Progress toward the completion of a professional designation preferred, such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
