Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Evaluates legal liability and aggressively pursues, negotiates, and resolves subrogation collection or lien recoveries.
Secures additional information/investigation when necessary.
Communicates with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, claims representatives, and underwriters to obtain/provide the necessary
Maintains and controls assigned recovery files and diaries.
May assign claims to recovery vendors or counsel and oversees case handling through recovery.
o May attend pre-trials, trials, and settlement conferences.
May process recoveries received on assigned claims.
Maintains current knowledge of field, third party law, regulations, procedures, and case decisions affecting appropriate
May provide technical advice, guidance, and assistance to lower level associates and other functional areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline
Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience, including Subrogation litigation and recovery practices/procedures
experience. for Rep position for Specialist 5-10 Years
Performs work within significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and
coordination. Possesses demonstrated technical knowledge and skills, including product and industry,
reflective of successful progression through various job family levels.
Performs work under general supervision.
